The teaching ministry exists to educate and equip the people of God for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ.
No one who teaches the Word of God feels adequate or equipped to do it. God chooses us in our inadequacy and qualifies us as we obediently respond to His call.
Ministry Verses
7 Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless—not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. 8 Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. 9 He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. Titus 1:7-9
“…some He gave to be teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.” (NASB) Ephesians 4:12
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
